The Institute and faculties are contributing towards society improvement & resource conservation by participating in various
initiatives taken by Govt. of India. One of the current prestigious assignments awarded by Bureau of Energy Efficiency
(BEE), Ministry of Power, Govt. of India (routed through FICCI) is Energy Efficiency Improvement & training about e-Filing
of Designated energy Consumers.
The Ministry of Power through its gazette notification had identified 9 sectors with threshold limit of energy consumption
to be the Designated Consumers (DCs). These are: Thermal Power Stations, Fertilizers, Cement, Iron & Steel, Chlor-Alkali,
Aluminium, Textile, Pulp & Paper and Railways. The e-filing & training for 30 DCs (Biggest Industries) of Punjab state is
getting done by our Institute & qualified faculties.
Also consultancy services provided and Energy Audit performed by our faculty Prof. Y.C.Gupta at Switch gear manufacturing
plant (located at Murthal, Haryana) of M/S Indo Asian fuse gear Ltd.
Beside the above mentioned assignment, our faculty Prof. Y.C.Gupta had imparted following trainings during last one year to
